Our Mission

The Internal Communication Research Hub – Africa (ICRH-Africa) is a research-driven platform bringing together academics, practitioners, and students interested in how organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa communicate internally. The hub is part of a global network housed at the University of Florida, contributing regional insights to a growing body of international research.

Our Vision

Hosted by the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC), Accra, Ghana, ICRH-Africa aspires to be the premier regional hub for internal communication scholarship — fostering a vibrant community of practice that drives meaningful change in workplaces across the continent. We envision a future where internal communication is recognised as a strategic function in every African organisation, grounded in evidence-based research, informed by local context, and connected to global best practices.

The Internal Communication Research Hub Africa is an integral regional affiliate of the International Communication Research Hub, a global network dedicated to advancing the field of internal communication through collaborative research, education, and professional engagement. The global ICRH network connects affiliate hubs across multiple continents, enabling cross-cultural research, shared resources, and a unified voice in advocating for the strategic importance of internal communication.
